Chaplaincy on Lake Erie
Through the Anglican Mission of Lake Erie, our chaplains carry Christ to those who make their livelihood upon the waters. We serve commercial mariners, charter captains, sport fishermen, dockworkers, marina staff, and the lakeside communities that gather around them. Ministry includes vessel blessings, harbor visits, sacramental care aboard ship and along the shore, memorials for those lost at sea, and quiet companionship for families who wait ashore. In the rhythm of tides and seasons, we bear witness to the Lord who once called fishermen from these very kinds of shores.
Our military chaplains stand alongside those who serve in the armed forces — active duty, reserve, National Guard, veterans, and their families. They celebrate the Sacraments in the field and on base, hear confessions, counsel through deployment and homecoming, walk with the wounded, and offer the last rites to the dying. Where the burdens of service are heaviest — in combat, in loss, in moral injury — the chaplain is present as an ambassador of Christ, bringing His peace to those who bear the sword in defense of others.
Governmental Chaplaincy
Chaplains in governmental settings serve legislators, staff, judicial officers, civil servants, and diplomatic personnel. Their ministry includes opening prayers, private counsel, Bible study, sacramental care, and pastoral presence in the corridors of public life. In a vocation often marked by pressure, scrutiny, and moral complexity, the chaplain offers a confidential space for conscience, prayer, and the wisdom of the Gospel — reminding those who govern that all authority is ultimately answerable to Christ the King.
Medical & Hospital Chaplaincy
Our medical chaplains minister in hospitals, hospices, nursing homes, and clinics — anointing the sick, praying with the frightened, blessing newborns, and commending the dying into the hands of their Redeemer. They stand with grieving families, support physicians and nurses under the weight of their work, and offer sacramental care to those who can no longer come to the altar. In every ward and every bedside, they witness that suffering is not the final word — Christ, who bore our infirmities, is.
Educational Chaplaincy
Educational chaplains serve in schools, colleges, universities, and seminaries — forming the whole person in mind, body, and soul. Their ministry includes chapel worship, catechesis, spiritual direction, counsel through the trials of young adulthood, and pastoral care for faculty and staff. In an age of confusion, they proclaim the beauty of truth, the coherence of faith and reason, and the call of Christ upon every life — accompanying students as they discern vocation and take up their own place in the Body of Christ.
Emergency Services Chaplaincy
Chaplains to police, fire, EMS, and search-and-rescue walk with first responders through the hardest hours of human experience. They ride along, sit at the fire hall, respond to scenes of accident and violence, deliver death notifications, and stand with responders processing what they have seen. Their ministry is one of steady presence — a pastor at the edge of the yellow tape, a friend in the aftermath, a priest with the oils in the ambulance bay — bearing Christ into moments where words often fail.
Institutional & Mission Chaplaincy
This ministry gathers chaplaincies that do not fit neatly into other categories: prisons and jails, workplaces and corporations, airports and truck stops, sports teams, motorcycle clubs, disaster relief, and cross-cultural mission fields. Wherever people are gathered under a common life or scattered along the roads of the world, our chaplains follow — hearing confessions in visiting rooms, offering Eucharist in break rooms, praying with the incarcerated, the traveling, and the forgotten. The Church goes where the people are.
The Anglican Order of Our Lady of Walsingham
A dispersed Anglican religious order under the patronage of Our Lady of Walsingham, professing a ministry of presence through prayer, sacrament, and hospitality. Members live under a common Rule shaped by the Holy House of Nazareth, the Shrine of Walsingham, and the Book of Common Prayer — praying the Daily Office, keeping quiet hours before the Blessed Sacrament, and offering the Rosary and the Angelus for the healing of the nations. The Order forms chaplains, healthcare workers, first responders, teachers, and lay ministers who serve Christ at the edges of life. Ad Jesum Per Mariam — To Jesus Through Mary.
The educational arm of the Ordinariate — forming clergy, chaplains, ordinands, and lay leaders in Scripture, the historic Creeds, the Book of Common Prayer, and the Anglican way of discipleship. The Institute offers rigorous, fully online theological formation across four certificate tracks, making study accessible from anywhere for those preparing for ordained ministry, chaplaincy, lay leadership, or lifelong learning. Rooted in the 2019 Book of Common Prayer and the one apostolic faith, our curriculum is shaped by Scripture, sacrament, and service.
