Praesens Inter Servientes
Present among those who serve
A pastor's heart
The Right Reverend Brent Whetstone serves as the founding Bishop of the Anglican Ordinariate of Saint George for Chaplaincy. A seasoned chaplain, advocate, and liturgical scholar, Bishop Brent has devoted his ministry to serving in the liminal spaces where faith meets real-world need — particularly in healthcare, crisis response, and institutional chaplaincy.
With a deep love for the Anglican tradition and a heart for those on the margins, Bishop Brent provides spiritual oversight, vocational guidance, and pastoral care to chaplains across a broad spectrum of service.
The Consecration
The episcopal consecration of the Right Reverend Brent Whetstone — a moment of prayer, the laying on of hands, and the sending forth of a shepherd for the Ordinariate.

Family
Ministry is never carried alone. Bishop Brent's family stands beside him in the work of the Gospel — a daily reminder that the call to serve the Church begins in the domestic church of the home.
Their love, prayers, and partnership undergird every visit, every ordination, and every chaplain sent into the field.

Founder
Through the Whetstone Family Foundation, the Bishop carries forward a vision of service that joins faith, scholarship, and tangible care for the most vulnerable — with a special voice for Appalachia.
The Office
The Ordinariate is entrusted to a Bishop Ordinary, who exercises pastoral and canonical authority over clergy and ministries in accordance with the doctrine, discipline, and worship of the Anglican Church.
A strong commitment to order and faithful ministry ensures that all who serve are properly formed, supported, and equipped — unity of purpose with the flexibility demanded by chaplaincy.
Through the historic Anglican liturgy and the disciplines of common prayer, clergy are formed to carry the life of the Church into the world — faithful in doctrine, ready in pastoral care.
The Bishop's office welcomes inquiries from chaplains, postulants, and those seeking pastoral counsel.
