Almighty God, who didst call thy servant Vincent Capodanno to minister unto those in peril and to lay down his life in service to others: Grant unto us such courage and charity that we may not count our lives dear unto ourselves, but faithfully serve thee and our neighbour in every danger and trial; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer over the Offerings

Receive, O Lord, these offerings which we present in thankful remembrance of thy servant Vincent Capodanno, who ministered faithfully among the wounded and dying; and grant that we, strengthened by these holy mysteries, may abound in sacrificial love and steadfast service; through Christ our Lord. Amen.
