Florence Nightingale

Nurse and Servant of the Sick.

Collect

O God, whose servant Florence Nightingale ministered unto the sick and wounded with compassion, wisdom, and steadfast devotion: Grant unto all who care for the suffering grace to serve thee faithfully in the weak and afflicted, and to be ministers of thy healing mercy; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer over the Offerings

Receive, O Lord, the prayers and offerings of thy people in thankful remembrance of thy servant Florence Nightingale; and grant that we, strengthened by these holy mysteries, may faithfully minister unto the suffering and bear thy light into places of pain and fear; through Christ our Lord. Amen.
