O God, who didst strengthen thy servant Emil Kapaun to minister with steadfast courage among the wounded, the fearful, and those held in captivity: Grant unto us the same constancy in suffering, the same charity toward those in distress, and the same faithfulness in the service of Christ; that we, following his example, may minister unto thee in the least of thy brethren; through Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen.

Receive, O Lord, the oblations of thy people offered in thankful remembrance of thy servant Emil Kapaun, who in war and imprisonment ceased not to comfort the afflicted and strengthen the weary; and grant that we, nourished by these holy mysteries, may faithfully serve thee in every trial and adversity; through Christ our Lord. Amen.
