Collect
O God, whose servant Desmond Tutu boldly proclaimed thy justice and mercy amidst oppression and violence: Grant unto thy Church grace courageously to defend the dignity of every human person, to seek reconciliation among all peoples, and to bear witness unto thy kingdom of peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Prayer over the Offerings
Receive, O Lord, the prayers and sacrifices we offer in remembrance of thy servant Desmond Tutu, whom thou didst strengthen to minister reconciliation amidst division and fear; and grant that we, being made one in Christ, may walk in the way of justice, mercy, and peace; through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
